Falcon Graphite Rods™ has set the standard in specialty rods with its Cara® Series rods.

Every Cara® Series rod features an American-made graphite blank exclusive to Falcon. The F45 blank is based on our popular LowRider™ actions but uses a higher modulus graphite for a noticeable weight reduction and increased sensitivity.

Like the Falcon Expert™ Series, the Cara® Series features the Lite-Bite™ reel seat. This "blank-thru" reel seat allows the angler direct contact with the rod blank, increasing sensitivity.

The guide rings are Fuji Hardloy™ material. With the introduction of the LowRider™ Series in 1996, Falcon pioneered the use of low-profile single-footed guides to improve casting performance. The Cara® Series continues this tradition of innovation. Using LowRider™ alignment, the Hardloy™ guides improve sensitivity, increase casting distance, and reduce line abrasion. The handles are Grade-A Portuguese cork.

The Cara® Series includes casting models for a variety of freshwater and light saltwater applications. Retail prices range from $110 to $159, depending on the model. These prices fall between the LowRider™ and Expert™ Series and continue Falcon’s standing as the best value in fishing.

The Cara® series has undergone extensive field-testing. Mark Davis fished with a Cara® rod when he won $75,000 at the WCF event in Monroe, Louisiana. Mark remarked, "I caught all my fish on the seven-foot medium heavy. These new Cara rods are excellent. It reminds me when Falcon came out with the LowRider™ Series. There’s a big improvement." Like all Falcon rods, the Cara® Series is made in the USA with our own American-made graphite blanks and 100% Fuji guides and reel seats. Click to Buy

Catching a bass over ten pounds is one of life's rare experiences, an experience you tend to remember forever - one that makes you treasure the equipment that you were using. Imagine, then, catching eleven bass over the ten-pound mark. In one summer! You have to be obsessed about your equipment. Ask B.A.S.S. touring pro and fishing guide Mike Garner of Cooper Lake, Texas. This last year Mike did just that.

"I wouldn't dream of using another brand of rod," Mike said. "The quality and total detail of Falcon Rods is unsurpassed. I'm positive that the combinations of the blank, the Lite-Bite™ exposed blank reel seat, and the Alconite™ guides give it the best sensitivity and strength of any rod on the market. And the people at Falcon are great to work with."

Falcon Expert™ rods are famous for producing a rare combination of lightness, sensitivity and strength, because you never know when the fish of a lifetime is one. With Mike, it usually is.

The Expert™ Series includes casting rods in a wide variety of lengths and actions for freshwater and light saltwater applications. The Expert series combines the latest component technology from Fuji with a high modulus American-made blank at a reasonable price.

With the introduction of the LowRider™ Series in 1996, Falcon pioneered the use of low-profile single-footed guides to improve casting performance. The Expert™ series represents the next step in LowRider™ technology. Super-light and strong Alconite™ guides from Fuji are stronger and lighter than other SiC guides. Sensitivity is further enhanced by the use of Falcon’s Lite-Bite™ blank-thru reel seat.

Each Expert™ Series rod utilizes an American-made graphite blank exclusive to Falcon. This blank contains super-high modulus graphite to create a blank that is incredibly light yet strong. Falcon’s Expert™ technology improves sensitivity, increases casting distance, and reduces line abrasion. Click to Buy

You fish with a Falcon if you're serious about the sport; you fish with a Falcon because you never know what's waiting on the other end of your next cast. Your next opportunity may be the fish of a lifetime, or the fish that wins the tournament - the difference between being in the headlines or being listed as an also-ran.

Two-time FLW Angler of the Year, Clark Wendlandt fishes with Falcon Rods because the tournament or an entire season could be won or lost on the next cast. One of those times came last year in an FLW Tournament on South Carolina's Lake Murray.

On the first two days of the tournament the fish had come fast and easy. In fact, Clark had boated his limit of fish each day with the daily weigh-in total each day easily topping the twenty-pound mark.

But then, on the final day, the fish just quit biting, and Clark found himself fishing hard just to hang onto the tournament lead. "It was just one of those days when the fish were not biting well," Clark said, "and I was fishing a floating worm hoping to hook one good fish to secure the tournament win."

That's when he saw it. A big bass was following the floating worm, but the bait was quickly sinking out of sight into the murky water. Few would have caught the fish that day, but Clark was using his Falcon LowRider. He felt the soft, almost imperceptible tap and set the hook into the five-pound fourteen-ounce bass. Because of that fish, because of that rod, Clark went on to win the tournament and the 2000 FLW Angler of the Year title.

"I have no doubt I won that tournament because of my Falcon rod. No other rod has the sensitivity of a Falcon Low Rider," he said. "When I'm fishing floating worms, I can catch fish others would have missed."

Clark uses Falcon Rods because you need every possible advantage over the fish as well as the competition.
