2 DAY SHELL BEACH REPORT...Harry Schwartz and George Magill of Atlanta came in Monday night to sleep and fish for 2 days in the Biloxi Marsh. We pushed the trips back a day to let the water come down off the road to the Beach. At TUESDAY'S first light we headed to Campo's to pick up some of the storm minnoes Kenny had as the bad water comming out of the back marshes was lacking of oxygen and what shrimp he had didn't survive. We then headed for the marsh and the guys opted to start the day spoon feeding redfish and with the water up in the grass and the wind not blowing to hard the redfish were ready to bite. We trolled motored along the shoreline casting near the grass and we put our 15 red limit in the box in short order. The key was to find clear dark water which made the gold spoon's flash stand out. We then started looking for the trout. We fished some small bayous where the tide wasn't blazing along and we picked up 43 trout and were headed for the beach after a successful morning of catching. The trout were caught on the storm minnoes under a cork and artificials either titelined or under a cork. The key to catching both reds and trout was clear water. WEDNESDAY we decided to devote the majority of the morning to redfishing and with the tide at its normal range and dropping, there was plenty of dirty water to contend with, which meant we had to fish a little harder and faster as the guys were departing today to head back home. Spooning the reds was a little slower but they managed to get their 10 red limit in the box and after making 2 stops they caught 21 trout to go along with the reds. Harry and George had a ball and it is always a pleasure to fish and spend time with them as they come fish all through the year with me, THANKS GUYS FOR 2 MORE GREAT DAYS ON THE WATER. DON'T MISS THE GREAT MARSH ACTION, GIVE US A CALL, THE MARSH IS COMMING ALIVE. CAPT. HOOK ON SITE ACCOMMODATIONS 985 643 5905 (H) 985 645 4007 PGR

Headed into the Biloxi marsh this morning with Harry Schwartz and his two young grandsons. Fished live cocahoes on the bottom and under a cork in the bayous and ponds deep in the marsh. We casted and baited the kids up and they had a ball as the brotherly competition took over. It was very windy but the kids kept on chunking as they caught 14 trout and 3 reds. These two young men are going to be very good fisherman in the future. It was really a great day on the water.....CAPT. A great group, great weather and big specks and reds too. Dan McKenny along with his son and daughter couldn't have picked a prettier day as we went after trout and reds. Headed for some small islands in one of the larger bays and casted 52m mirrolures around the islands and caught 28 trout and 3 reds, the trout were really nice and the reds were all bulls which we released. Dan and his kids fish with me often and he and I always have a great time watching the kids catch fish, thats what its all about!!!......CAPT. Beautiful day at the "BEACH" as Gary Jenkins of Atlanta came in for his 3 trip this year. Did some speck fishing with light tackle and drifted the small lakes throwing avocato H&H cocahoe's and TT's. Fished them under a cork and titelined until we reached our limit in the 14 to 17 in. range. The bite wasn't fast but it was steady and Gary had a ball putting them in the box. He'll be back in April and May to get on some more trout action.....CAPT. Had 3 really nice guys fishing with me yesterday from Las Vagas, Detroit And Chicago. They were in town on business and wanted to do a little fishing. Headed for the marsh and made 2 stops as the guys really got into the fish. It was variety day as they filled up a 150 qt chest with Reds, Heads, Drum And one lonely trout using minnows and dead shrimp on a 1/4 oz. jighead on the bottom while fishing over the oyster reefs. They ended up taking home a 60 qt chest of filets for a "grillin good time"........CAPT. Trout fishing has been slow, but the redfishing continues to be consistent. Reds in the 5 to 7 lb. range are hitting gold spoons and live minnoes. The reds have been active along the shorelines of small bays and are being taken in 1 to 2 ft. of water. The trout are holding in the deeper channels and are being caught by fishing artificials slow on the bottom and feeling for a light pick-up. Good fishing.....CAPT. Good fishermen and Bad weather. I met Mark, Kieth and Larry at the dock to see if we could reschedule. Kieth and Larry were in from out of town and only had one day to get a CAJUN SLAM. We started in the Cheff pass area and put a nice Flounder in the box. We then went to a bayou with deep water and put 9 Speckled trout in the box. We then crossed the lake to the Biloxi marsh and caught a few Red fish to complete the CAJUN SLAM. A great time was had by all and the guys will be back on a better day to fill the box. Thanks Capt. Mike Gallo Angling Adventures of Louisiana.

40 TROUT WAS ALL IT TOOK as my generic crew, Stuart, Larry and Dennis all in their late seventies picked a great day to go and get-um. After 4 hours of hard fishing my crew was whipped out and were ready to pack it in. The crew fished Campo's live shrimp under popping corks and had a ball catching their specks and loosing some too, but that made them more determined. I felt like a youngster as there were over 200 years of experience in the boat with me. What a great crew and I'll get to enjoy there company again in 2 weeks........CAPT. ANOTHER GREAT DAY IN THE BILOXI MARSH...Gary Jenkins came in from Georgia and on this trip brought his friend Leonard so he could get in on some great Shell Beach trout and red fishing. Went for the reds first thing this morning with gold spoons and the guys had a field day as we got our 15 red limit and caught and released a few more. After that we went looking for the trout and it didn't take long to find them and throwing Campo's live shrimp under a popping cork we limited out and headed for the "BEACH" so the guys could head back home. The weather was outstanding and so were Gary and Leonard. Till next time guys......CAPT. HOOK.....ON SITE ACCOMMODATIONS.....FULL TIME CHARTER SERVICE.....985 643 5905.....877 932 2824.

TWO DAY REPORT.....Fished yesterday with G.B. and Bill who were ready to catch some reds and trout. Went for the reds first and using gold spoons while trollmotoring along the shoreline we picked up some nice reds, then went looking for some trout, where we put some in the box on every stop. It was windy but the guys hung in there and had a great time........TODAY the Karas group went trout hunting with me in the Biloxi Marsh and using live shrimp under a cork got on the trout and never looked back. Besides catching plenty of specks the guys ribbed each other all day and the laughs were plenty. Great group of guys to fish with. Total for the 2 days 91 trout and 15 reds, guys like these make my job easy.......CAPT. HOOK......ON SITE ACCOMMODATIONS.....FULL TIME CHARTER SERVICE......985 643 5905......888 932 2824.

ANOTHER LIMIT OUT DAY IN THE BAY TODAY....this time it was the group from PEC of Baton Rouge. Ron Weber, Tony, Jerome and his son and I fished Campo's live shrimp 18 ins. under a lemon cork and caught our 125 fish trout limit even with the slow tide. We made 4 stops but it paid off and the guys had a blast. With an ice chest full of filets, they headed back to B.R. ready to hit the Bay again in a couple of weeks. JOE AND MATT GREEN came in from Mobile last night to stay at the camp and fish redfish today on gold spoons. Headed for the Biloxi Marsh in a stiff East wind where the water was rootbeer colored with plenty of grass on the bottom. You could see the gold spoon from the time it hit the water, until it was next to the boat, and it was fun watching the reds rip the spoon and head for the cover of the grass. Joe and Matt put on a show as we caught our limits and released a few more. The redfish action is a great fill in till we can get out where the trout are, which hopefully be soon. CHASED REDS AGAIN TODAY....Dan and Shep McKenny hit the marshes with me today in search of reds. Armed with gold spoons and live minnows, we worked the shorelines and small shallow bayous in the Biloxi Marsh, the action wasn't fast, but we ended up limiting after a hard day of fishing. RIPPIN THE BIG REDS AND TROUT....Thats what kind of day it was for the Ronnie Hebert group today as the reds were smokin in Black Bay. It was 1 to 3 hook-ups on almost every throw on live cocahoe's on a Carolina Rig, hard hitting, hard pulling, drag ripping reds from 5 to 10 lbs., with 2 and 3 trailers following them to the boat. Sore arms and backs were the order of the day as they caught and released after taking there limits. Had a little more time so on the way in we stopped and added to the pain with 12 beautiful sows up to 5lbs. using live cocahoe's under a popping cork. The guys did a great job, and I'm looking forward to the next one in 3 weeks.......CAPT. WISHED I HAD BETTER NEWS but after heading outside today in search of trout with Tom Hosenfelder and his group, the pickings were sparce. With the winds down, the guys wanted to try the outside trout, so we tried 7 different rigs in Breton Sound and Black Bay and managed to boat 5 trout, (it ended up being 18 miles per trout), but that didn't bother the guys as they continued to fish hard and have a good time, (a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work anytime). It wasn't a very productive day but the company was great and it was a beautiful day to be on the water....CAPT. HOOK....2 BOATS....ACCOMMODATIONS....Book Now And Make "THE GREAT ESCAPE" With Capt. LATE EASTER REPORT....Fished Sunday with Philip Baylor of Missouri, who was in N.O. because of a trip he won on his local radio station for nameing the correct tune. His girlfriend came along to get some sun and take pictures and she got quite a few memories. We headed for the marsh, since the winds were up, to do some redfishing. Had some beautiful cocahoes from Campo's to temp them with. It started off slow, but as the tide started to rise in the marsh the reds got active as philip hooked up on over 20 reds, landing 18 on the minnoes under a popping cork, he kept a few to take back and try and is ready to come back and do it again. HAD THE RONNIE HEBERT group out today and the doctors took advantage of their day off. Decided to head for the East shoreline of Lake Borgne to take advantage of it's lee side. Tucked into the mouths of the Bayous, they caught over 20 reds and a dozen trout in the 2 lb. range, plus 5 big flounders. All the fish were caught on live minnows under a cork and Carolina rigged. TRESSEL TROUT.....Headed out yesterday at 4:30pm. with my son Capt. Tim Jr. and his friend Gary to fish the tressels. The tide was rising and the water was clean, we started off past the draw using the troll motor while casting near the tressel with avacato, blue moon and chartruse DD's on 3/8 oz. jigheads. Picked up a few doormat flounder at first, but as we approached mid-lake, we started picking up nice trout, so we worked the area and it paid off. We fished till 7:30 and ended up with 20 nice specks 3 to 4 lbs. and 5 doormat flounder, the key was to work the baits slow using short hops and then a pause, and as you would go to hop the bait again the fish would either hit it or already be on, so set the hook hard and fast. The guys trolling silver rattle traps were picking up some nice specks on a regular basis also. All the conditions are right in the lake this week, so take advantage of them.........CAPT. WHAT A GREAT FAMILY....Fished Saturday with Kurt Schenker and his three boys, and we had a ball. It didn't matter that the fish weren't jumping in the boat, or that the wind was blowing or that more oysters were hooked than fish, but what did matter is that Kurt got to spend the day with his sons and his sons got to spend the day with him. The fishing part of the day was not a total loss, because the boys hooked up on 10 reds and landed 6, from 4 to 9 lbs.. Kile, who hooked the 9 pounder is forever hooked on fishing after that red ripped a 1/2 oz. spoon and almost took him out of the boat. Aside from the reds, the boys also caught 4 big specks and a doormat flounder. It was a tough day, but it was really a fun day, and watching Kurt and the kids catch those fish really made the day special.....CAPT. HAD A GREAT TIME TODAY fishing with Gary Mitchell and his two friends from Huntington W.V.. We decided to get up early this morning and check the weather after the DOOM and GLOOM forecast of 25 kt. winds and rain, and "NOT" to our surprise there was no rain and 10 to 12 kt. winds, so we decided to go out at 10am. and do some trout and redfishing. Headed for some lagoons in the marsh with live minnows and gold spoons. We caught the end of the falling tide and using minnows, we only caught a few reds. It was a different story when the tide turned and started rising, the reds and trout became more active. Fishing some small channels between points where the tide was moving fast we threw monnows under a cork and caught 23 trout, and after that, we worked a few shorelines with the minnows and after a while with no strikes, we switched to 1/2oz. gold spoons and that did the trick as we caught 14 reds in a span of 2 blocks. The weather turned out great, and the company couldn't have been better.......CAPT. GREAT REDFISH ACTION.....Met my brother Lee this morning and jumped in his shallow draft boat to spoon feed some redfish. With the tide rising, we headed for the marsh ponds to find the reds before the bad weather hit. Troll motored along, casting at the bank with 1/2 oz. gold spoons and the reds were hungry as we would hook up every 10 to 15 casts. They were running 18 to 25 ins. and really fought hard in the shallow water.Reds weren't the only thing hitting the spoons as we picked up 4 nice trout in the 3 lb. range, they hit harder than the reds. After about 3 hours we saw the bad weather approaching, so we called it a day and headed in. Not only was it a great day fishing, but being able to spend time with my brother doing something we grew up together doing, made today extra special. We ended the day catching 17 reds and 4 specks, keeping a few and releasing the rest, and I know we will be doing this more often.......CAPT. Hello fello anglers. I had the pleasur of fishing with Don munson and his sun Brett on Tusday. Early the weather looked bad but I knew don had come down from Minn to fish so we gave it a go. The weather became clear around 9.30 and we were able to find clear warter with fat red fish ready to streach our lines. We cought reds on spoons and soft plastics near the shoreline. We practiced CPR, CATCH PHOTO RELEASE. When young Brett (12) had had enough. We headed back. A good time was had by all. I look forward to another fishing adventure with them soon.
